Military Frock Coat - Like millions of other people who like to get up early on a Saturday morning, Loretta and I are excited about this week's royal wedding of Meghan Markle and HRH Prince Henry of Wales. Instead this is braiding made of black mohair, and is unique to the Home Cavalry and Life Guards. Although the braid loops appear to be attached to the buttons (the traditional buttons that are turned on the back of the chest), they are only decorative.

Although the dark navy color contrasts sharply with Meghan's crisp white coat, it's not just a style choice, but an outfit that Harry has earned the right to wear. He was Captain in the Blues and Royals, and after retiring from active duty in 2015, he received the honorary military title of Major from the Queen, as a crown on his shoulder. According to Kensington Palace, she also requested and received special permission from the Queen to wear the dress on her wedding day.
